Security Updates Hang

Hi,

When I try and download the above, it states that it's checking for updates,
and then seems to sit there for ever, presumably hanging. Is it just slow?
Any ideas please? I recently updated my McAfee Security Centre, before which
everything was fine. I had a problem afterwards which was very slow
browsing, but this was resolved by McAfee by turning off id security and
phishing.
