Security Updates From Microsoft

L

Lee Smallwood

In septem I was sent 4 emails from what appeared to be
Microsoft with updates attached.

I unpacked the first one and after I could not open any
of my programs it kept and still keeps coming up with
this message:

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or
file. You may not have permissions to access the item.

I've tried to go back to a previous restore point but I
keep getting the same message.

I've now mannaged to get back into my emails using
outlook express and have got the properties of this email
they are as follows:

Hello Lee

Sorry Lee I cannot help you solve your problem I am
barely computer literate. But, here's what I do know:
There are several bad sources out there of virus infected
email. Several use aliases to pretend they are from
microsoft or your internet service provider or the mail
daemon returning undeliverable mail. No do open these.
Microsoft, I have learned, NEVER sends out updates via
email.
I think the information you have posted has vital
information that can help trace the source. There is an
organization to which we can complain about these virus
loaded spam...www.cauce.org
Good luck.
