Security update - never stops!

Every time I turn my laptop on the shield icon comes up to tell me to
install a security update. I click and say ok go ahead. The problem is
that almost immediately it has done the update it asks again and it's
the same update. It is MSXMC 4.0 SP02 KB927978

It apparently completes the update ok. I am running Win XP Pro. I do
have Norton Internet Security running. Could this be the problem?
Obviously I don't want to turn it off. Any ideas how I stop this
annoyance?

You might want to post to the experts in the windows update newsgroup.

Thanks - Actually I think the problem is solved. I removed the update
and when the icon came up again I allowed it to re-install. All seems
fine now as it hasn't asked again for over an hour now!
