I am in desperate need of help! I am running XP home
edition and installed a critical update which has now
locked the computer out of itself! The error message I am
receiving is: ASSOCISDANGEROUS entry point - msgina.dll
file is missing. (a winlogon.exe error)
The computer will not boot - will not restore to last
known good configuation. I use this machine for work
purposes. I have the XP resore CD but the machine will
not boot from the CD drive. Also, I do not have the
discs for the other programs, will using the restore disc
wipe those out?
