Error after loading latest XP Service Pack

Anyone....please offer suggestions.

I loaded latest service pack from the microsoft web site
with no errors.

Restarted....got the following error message:
WinLogon.exe
The procedure entry point associsdangerous could not be
located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.DLL.

I hit OK and another fatal error pops up:
User Interface Error
The logon interface DLL MSGINA.DLL failed to load.
Contact your system admin to replace the DLL or restore
the original DLL.

I am a home user!! No sys admin available. I found
instructions on how to get and reload the second error
dealing with MSGINA.DLL, but not the first.

Any ideas???

Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, I just got the same error this morning! I
updated my home PC like a ogod little boy and then I
received the same error that you received. Do you have an
HP PC, I noticed some special note about update for an HP
computer. I'm sorry that I have no helpful info at this
point. I'm resaearching the problem, but I can't find much
and sitting on hold all day does not sound appealing.

Hey John-
No I have a Dell...not HP.
Cannot believe this...like you said, follow directions and
get screwed.
Well hopefully someone will see this and have the answer.

I would try to go in in safemode and see if you can do a
restore to the day before doing the update for kb824146.
