Hi

I unchecked the 'Use Simple File sharing' option under Tools/Folder
options../View/Advanced in my Explorer and I still cannot view the security
tab when opening the properties of any folder

Any clue what can be the cause?

Try this:
1. click Start, click run, and type regedit. Click OK.

2. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies/Explorer.

3.Double click NeSecurityTab and change the value for NoSecurityTab to 0.

4. Click OK.

5. Close the Registry Editor.
