Security tab

My security tab is missing from properties on a folder. I've tried
the WinExpl / Folder Options / View / unchecking the simple file
sharing, to no avail. I'm using XP Pro, and some of the fixes
describe changing settings under this security tab. What gives?

You only have the security tab if your drive is formatted with NTFS file system.
