Security tab disappears after renaming.

After I rename a file, the scurity tab of the properties dialog
disappeared. I get access error when I try to delete it, and I find
no way to change its security setting.
Other files in the same directory has no such problem.

The file system is NTFS.

How can this happen?

Its impossible after renaming a file security tab gone missing.I dont know
if you are using windows xp or windows xp pro.In windows xp home security
tab available only in safemode.In winxppro you have to turn off simple file
sharing to see security in properties dialog box.
Turning off SIMPLE FILE SHARING
Start - Control panel - Folder options - View tab - Under Advanced
settings - Un check Simple file sharing.
