Security in Windows Media Player

When trying to play a wmv I keep getting a pop-up box that says ..your
current security settings do not allow this action. I have tried everything,
changed all the settings as suggested, and searched all over help etc and
can't work out how to change it.

This is probably because the video has been "enhanced" to do things like
open web pages. You can alter this by pressing ALT, going to Tools ->
Options -> Security.
