I'm getting the following message with XP Pro:
"Security Center is currently unavailable because the Security Center
service has not been started or was stopped."
How do I start it?

Go to Control Panel and double click Administrative Tools.
In Administrative Tools, double click Services.
In the Services console, scroll down to Security Center.
Double click on Security Center.
This should bring up the Security Center Properties sheet.
On the General page, hit the Start button.
Once the service is started, make sure the entry in Startup
type is set to Automatic.
Click OK.

Good luck

If you go to the run command and type service.msc then look for the
"security center" service. This should be set to automatic and should be
started. You can try to start it if it's stopped.
