Security Center - Anti-spyware

[Hmm]

It would be rather interesting to see Security Center
display whether or not you have an anti-spyware tool
installed giving recommendations to check for updates on
popular ones such as Ad-Aware, Spybot, SpySweeper,
PestPatrol, and even MS Antispyware. For those that do
set their antispyware tool to not to run in the
background this could be a nice feature of Security
Center to monitor and remind to update the program.
Perhaps it could be set to only monitor a particular
antispyware tool of your choosing. (as some people have
more than one installed)

Any vendor can apply to Microsoft for the information needed to integrate
into the Security Center, as I understand it. I don't know, however, if
they've made a decision about whether to have a category for Antispyware
covered by the security center. It is an idea that we've seen posted here a
number of times, though.
