Collecting Anti-Spyware statistics with Systems Management Server 2003

I've working with a customer who wants to deploy the MS anti-spyware tool
via SMS 2003. Simple enough. I'm also hoping to extend SMS 2003 to collect
anti-spyware statistics as part of its inventory. I'm particularly
interested in Scan details such as last scan date start, scan date end, and
detected threats. I'm also interested in collecting other details such as
the scan schedule, the status of the real-time protection, the spyware
definitions date, and the AntiSpyware AutoUpdater status. Is there a
document summarizing where the antispyware tool stores this kind of data? Is
it in xml, wmi or the registry?

Also...

Customer is also interested in deploying the spyware updates via SMS. What
will be the supposed 'non auto updater' method of deploying the updates?

I don't know about deploying through SMS 2003, but the other information
concerning statistics can be found under Tools > Spyware Scan > View Spyware
Scan History.

Yes. I was hoping for a way to access this data programmatically, not
through the gui.

Hi

Within MSAS program files folder you have a text file
"cleaner.log".

MS are also working with a corporate version.

Any idea if this data will be stored in an SDK/open architecture for RTM or
beta 2?

You have to wait closer to beta 2 or final release to here about support for
third party development and MSAS. As Plun has already mentioned, Microsoft
is working on a Corporate Edition for Enterprise Environments with support
for more advanced features such as Central Management and Group Policy. So,
it is most likely that you can expect the functionality you want in that
edition.
