Security center alerts

Since i installed some spyware each time I boot up I get a red shield alert
telling me the status of my virus protection is unknown despite it being
turned on and updated, its getting annoying now

Perhaps you should remove the spyware. Some spyware is known to
interfere with antivirus protection.

Remove the spyware.
Reinstall the AV software, update it, run it, run it in safe mode.
Install AdAwareSe and run it.
Install SpyBot Search and Destroy and run it.

Please don't multipost. You already have answers in the other newsgroup
to which you posted. If you've forgotten where you posted or can't find
the thread, use Google Groups Advanced Search and search for your name
and constrain the data (since you are posting with a fairly common
name).

No...she's merely telling you how newsgroups work. No need to follow the
conventions if you won't mind being ignored.

I am having the same problem but it only comes up when i'm on the internet.
It overrides my home page and takes me to uptodatesecurity.com and I can't
get rid of it. Do you have any suggestions on this problem?
