Security Center active in system tray?

Hello
I installed XP SP2 and configured the security center to notify me
of any updates.Just after installation, I noted the security shield icon
in the system tray and presumed that some component was
running to alert me; however it never appeared again and I was
not alerted to the next update (.net service pack). I can easily
access it via the control panel. Should the security system be
active in the system tray? If so, how do I configure it?

I don't have sp2 yet, its downloading now, but if you
select the security icon and right click your mouse maybe
you'll get a menu of something.
