security alert???

whenever i try to access certain secure sites like hotmail or online banking,
for the last few days i have been getting a security alert pop-up box stating
there is a problem with the site's security certificate and the certificate
is issued by a site i have not chosen to trust..i want to get rid of this box
for good...how do i do this please
 
it is possible that there is a problem with the date and time of your
computer and the date and time the certificate was created.. i had the same
problem a few weeks ago when i changed the time of the computer and logged in
to hotmail and other sites
