security alert problem

hope someone can help me..from saturday i have been unable to automatically
enter specific websites (hotmail,online banking..and even here) without a
security alert box popping up..it tells me that there is a problem with the
site's security certificate and that the certificate has been issued by a
company i have not chosen to trust....this never happened before...please can
someone guide or advise me

In IE, tools menu, Options, advanced tab, there are three checkboxes for
certificates in the security area, and another warn box at options, Security
tab, Custom Level button, Misc, area.
