secondary HD

i have 2 hard drives on my system; one that holds my OS and utilities, and
the other for pretty much everything else (pictures, games, music, etc). my
old MB burned out, and after replacing it, i could no longer see my secondary
HD in My Computer. the drive is recognized through BIOS and Disk Management,
but if i try to access it, im prompted to partition and format the drive.

i didnt think there would be any problems since all i was replacing was one
piece of hardware, so i didnt back up anything (as if i havent learned this
lesson enough). i would really hate to lose this data, so any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Was it a basic or dynamic disk? If it was a dynamic disk that you need to
import it into the new system. Do this through disk configuration MMC

its showing up as a dynamic disk, but i dont see anything about importing.
the only options Disk Management is giving me is:
Change drive letter and paths...
Format...
Delete Volume...

if i try to open or explore the drive, im prompted to format.
