Chris

Because of parasites and scumware I have lost the ability
to search the net from my address bar. Several people
have responded on how to clean those off my computer but
nobody has given me a fix for me being able to search
from the address bar again. This happened to me a while
back and I found the fix after much searching however
shame on me for not remembering what it was. My computer
is clean now but how do I get the search thread or hook
back? Thank you.

Chris,
Some program (usually spyware\parasite) may have overridden the URL prefix
setting?

I here the Google bar is great and not a case of lock jaw. I sure hope they stay clean. I don't use the bar myself, I just use Google as my main page. I majorly burn the net up with a cable modem tweaked and has a crack up the upload. I wish my Sprint Car would have run that good and it was state of the art. Dynoed in the 650 range and just a 388 chevy. Dang, I miss that.

go to Vivisimo.com. Vivisimo is by far the most powerful search engine on the net and perhaps the lesser known. Just go the the site and search whatever to see. In incorporates ALL best search engines into one as well as published articles in all newspapers on the net as well. In other words, if you had a grandma that died and was published in any newspaper on the net and searched her proper name the search results would show under Obituaries in the search results.

TO YOUR PROBLEM, on the vivisimo.com homepage you will note on the right of the screen will be an install search engine on your tool bar. You won't be dissapointed

Thanks Mike. Trying it now. Will see what happens.
