I look around on my computer every now and then, to see
what files somebody has installed that I don't know about.
Spybot and Adaware take care of many of those, but I still
find strange ones. Like SearchDBDT in My Documents. Can
someone tell me what the acronym is for? The folder has
a dozen entries, all with "IX" extension, which I have
nothing to open with. And I can't delete them. Any clues?

Do you have or did you ever have Visoneer Paperport Software installed.
One post I read says it uses this to index your documents?

AHA! Yes, I use that scanner quite often. Strangely, there is no clue
that would imply a connection. Thanks for the info.

Lucky guess on my part! You're welcome.
