Search Within a Website

I was using my search feature on my website and found out that it returned
more results than I wanted it to do. I had copies of several htm (that
should not of been published) files on the server.

I've removed them but the search still picks them up. Once removed from the
server, why would the search still pick it up?

I deleted all copies from the server, reset any copies to not published,
cleaned my temp files, cookies, and wiped the dat files therefore, it can't
be picking it up from my computer.

It still must be something on the server.
Any other ideas?

Thanks

Yes I have done this too.
The pages still show up in the search but the pages do not display .. since
they are removed (dont exist any more)

I just want to stop the search from finding pages that don't exist now.
Thanks

Yes that worked.
I was not even aware that I could open the remote site in that maner.
Thanks for your help.
