Search toolbar

I don't want this toolbar showing up on my browser, I've
right clicked it to remove it, then clicked lock the
toolbar and the next time I open the browser, it's there.

Driving me nuts...any help on how to keep it from showing
up?

Specifics about the toolbar would be helpful. Some have an executable
program that runs at startup so it will reinstantiate itself, regardless of
your settings.
