Removing "Bing" toolbar

I'm currently running Windows XP. Have any other XP users experienced the aggravation of trying unsuccessfully to remove the “Bing” toolbar? It seems that "Bing and "MSN" loaded when I did a windows security update. “Bing" and "MSN," now come with the “package.” Following the recommendations of many forums, I still couldn't eliminate the "Bing" tool bar. "Bing" or "MSN," did not specifically show up in my control panel for removal as many advised. Finally after some experimentation, I right clicked on the "home" symbol, the one that likes like a small house. I unchecked the option “search toolbar,” and the "Bing" toolbar disappeared.

I hope this helps some of you that are frustrated and wanting to eliminate this toolbar as badly as I did.
