Search page won't work on my local computer

I have FP 2003 installed on my local computer. I just created a search form
and get the following message when testing:

"FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web
server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish
this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page."

How do I install FP Server Extensions to my local machine?
Thanks

You need to be running Windows 2000 Pro or XP pro.
You then need to install IIS ( internet information services )
via Add/Remove programs > Windows components.

You then need to download and install the 2002 extensions and all of the
updates.

I'm not sure that the search component would work even with IIS installed on
a Win2000 WinXP machine. I was under the impression that indexing was a must
on the server in order to get the search function to work properly. I know
it wouldn't work on my Windows2003 server until I got indexing running.

PS Many web hosts don't let you use the search component (the FrontPage one)
because it is too taxing on the resources of the server and they don't want
to risk loosing server performance.

Sure it does. But the catalog doesn't publish, so the site still needs to
be indexed / reindexed on the live server after publishing.
