Search & Forms

Hi
I have 2 issues
1 when I do a site search I get this message" FrontPage Run-Time Component
Page. You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a
web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly. This form
or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a
web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.Click the
<Back> arrow to return to the previous page run time error"
I have FP extension installed by my host server. I have questioned them
about the problem. No satisfaction.
2 When a form is submitted (one I tested) my email account is notified that
such has happened and in the email body is "B1: Submit" Nothing else happens.
I am running MS Office with Frontpage. My site is www.wordsse.se
Thanks

How did you upload the site to the liver remote server via FP's http or FTP mode?

Remove all spaces (%20) from all folder and file names.

Provide a link to the form.

Your search page:

The form action is _derived/nortbots.htm. This indicates the form page
was FTPed to the server, FrontPage
Forms must be http published to the server using the File->Publish Web
or File->Publish Site menu options. Using FTP will break the form.

A quick look through the available links I could not find a page with a
form, other than the search page - it sounds like the form has not been
built correctly, but without seeing it - that's just a guess.

I say available links: You are using Hover buttons which do not render
in many PCs (perhaps most PCs) because they require a Java Virtual
Machine (JVM) that is not installed in Windows XP or Vista by default.
A JVM has to be installed by the user, and many (most?) users do not do
so, though one or two manufactures do install a JVM. Where a JVM is
installed, again many users disable it for security reasons.

Also, the space bar is not a design tool. The size of a space changes
between browsers - hence the layout may change. Use tables to lay out
the page.
