Search Open Explore

Denis

When I double click on folders in a directory window
a "Search Results" window opens instead of "Open",
or "Explore". Also, if right clicking on a folder,
the "Search" option is at the top and bolded. Can anyone
tell me how to change this to default to "Open"
or "Explore"? Something has changed since I first got XP
and I don't know how to change it back...

Hello,

I suggest you first try this:
[Start] | Run | regsvr32 /i shell32 [OK]

If this does not solve the problem then
I suggest you visit MS-MVP Kelly's website at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Note the instructions at the top of the page,
then scroll down to line 18,
(Search Opens When Double Clicking A Folder)

Right-click the hyperlink, then click | Save Target As |
to download the file, "folderopenssearch.reg",
then double-click the file and follow the prompts.
