Search Function

When I try to conduct a search for a file or folder, as
soon as I click on "SEARCH", the hourglass comes up, but
just sits there, doing nothing. I end up having to "End
Task" in order for the search function to shut down. I
just noticed this problem lately. It was functioning a
couple of weeks ago.
