I visited Snopes last week and since then everytime I boot up, the search
function starts up and I have to use Ctrl,Alt Delete to shut it down. I have
searched everywhere to find where this may be starting on its own to no
avail. The only place I found with search is in IE, last places visited and
there I found a blue E (explorer symbol) with only the word" search" , it in
but I can't delete it? I have attempted system restore with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you've picked up a bit of malware, for which the Snopes
