Search from address bar

I'm having a little problem with my address bar. I was
doing some browsing the other night trying to find a
topic for a school report when I got a site with a ton of
pop-ups attached to it. Ever since then Internet
Explorer won't go to websites I type into the address bar
without typing the entire address. If I don't type in
the entire address, it takes me to some no-name search
engine that I'm assuming is somehow connected to all the
pop-ups previously mentioned. I know that normally if
the address bar doesn't recognize my entry it takes me to
some MSN search site. I have tried reinstalling Internet
Explorer, deleting all my cookies, deleting my temporary
internet files and clearing my history. The problem
still occurs. What do I do?

The many answers in this newsgroup have already answered this question.

Get Ad-Aware and update the spyware reference file through the on line
updater. Run it and delete all detected items.

Next Get SpyBot Search and Destroy and also update its reference file.

Use Google to find these free utilities.

Blocking Spyware, Adware, Parasites, Hijackers, Trojans, with a HOSTS
