How do I clear those annoying search engine histories that drop down every
time I use a search engine (such as Google)? How do I prevent those from
being saved each time?
 
Open Internet Explorer

Tools -- Internet Options -- Content Tab -- click on AutoComplete button --
Clear the checkboxes -- OK -- Restart your browser
