Search engine

Somehow my computer has downloaded a search engine called yoog and it has
made it so that it is the default and I cannot delete it under internet
options. I thought maybe it was an addon from google so I uninstalled google
but it is still there making itself the default search engine. I want rid of
this thing and cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it. Can
someone help?

I'm having the same problem with regard to the Yoog search engine that has
installed itself on my computer somehow. I can every file I download, so I'm
not sure where it came from. At any rate, the solution listed at the URL you
provided won't help me, since I don't have exactly the same problem. There's
no Contextual SnappyAds anything on my computer. Only Yoog. I've searched
other sites, some have suggested removing a file called GlobalAdSolutions,
but that file isn't on my computer, either. I'm really fed up with Yoog,
because even though I keep making Google my default search engine in the
Google toolbar, Yoog keeps overriding my settings. I don't quite understand
why Windows Live OneCare or the malware/adware program I use (Trojan Remover)
don't remove this particular adware (Yoog). I've searched the web over,
hoping to find a solution to this issue, but so far, nothing that has been
suggested works. I was even instructed to run ComboFix.exe to try to solve
the problem. I ran it, no luck. Any suggestions or assistance you can provide
would be greatly appreciated.
