I search for files containing a keyword and it displays
no results even though I cut and paste a word from within
a file into the search criteria. This happen to anybody

I found the same thing. I tried turning indexing on and off. It
seems that they turned off searching for binary file types and any
file type they do not recognize to speed up full text search. You
would think they would at least warn you some where on the search
screen or the search results screen that they are not searching every
file type like they used to. Microsoft does explain how to add back
in specific file types on their site. The other option was to
download the lastest service release and their was an option in the
search for this. If anyone knows how to do this with using the latest
service release, please let me know.
