why is the search companion constantly popping up on my computer whenever i
access the internet? also the find box pops up and whenever i close the boxes
they pop up again? does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks elmo but thats not the problem. This computer is acting funny and
constantly giving me a thousand popups of this search companion. Its driving
me nuts. Help!!!

Maybe one of the filetypes opened by your browser has a damaged
association. If .htm, swf, etc., it's possible that repairing the
association would prevent SC or Find from opening with each reference to
that extension. Could be .jpeg, or .gif too, I guess. You could click
links to specific files and see which ones open the Search utilities..
