I recently recieved and error message when trying to start
Search companion "Missing files or folders necessary to
start search companion. May need to run setup." However I
have tried to run the Srchasst.inf file it looks like it
is installing however it still does not work and then I
have verified the Registry key is correct. I have even
tried to do a restore on the system back 2 months nothing
is stopping this error can anyone help??? Thank you for
any input.

I have looked on Kellys-Korner-Xp.com and the only other
thing to try was go to sa.windows.com however I do not
have permissions to hit that web page and I dropped my
firewall and we are not running a proxy server or have any
ad blocking software on the PC. Do you have anymore
suggestions. Either how to get to that web page or
anything else that could fix the problem.

Did this ever get fixed?
I have the same problem.
