Carlos

I have 3 Fujitsu 15k (18G) MAS drives on scsi
configuration. Cmos Bios, as well as the scsi and raid
utilities have recognized all three with no problem. But
when trying to set up xp, i get a message
immediately: "hard drive not detected". Ive tried loading
3rd party scsi/hard drive drivers, but to no avail. (most
of the time the drivers on the floppy arent even
initiallized). Ive made sure that the hard disks are
formated, and not yet set up in stripe config. Anyone
have experience with this?

If i find out my problem i will add a post in answer to
my own post for those who may come across this in the
future.

Hi Carlos,

It sounds like the drivers are not being picked up during the installation.
It's best to go to the OEM manufacturers website and download the latest
drivers and put them on a floppy. If it loads the drivers but does not find
the hard drives, the drivers are most likely wrong for your SCSI controller
or RAID controller. If the controller drivers are correct, then the drives
should be picked up.
