Setup did not find any hard disk drives

I have a brand new Dell 9100 w/ XP Home that I want to wipe. It works fine.
When trying to install XP Pro SP1a, it fails with "Setup did not find any
hard disk drives installed in your computer".
I have a 160 gig SATA drive. Shouldn't it automatically discover it?
Do I have to add a driver via the F6 option, or is that just for SCSI devices.

Press F6 next time and have the SATA driver diskette handy..
