Scroll wheel in PowerPoint viewer

I have a PP2007 presentation that I've packaged for distribution using the
2007 viewer. Knowing the limitations of the "07" viewer, i've dumbed down the
07 pptx to where the Viewer plays it and it looks and behaves the same as
the original pptx file. HOWEVER, it appears the the Viewer ignores the Kiosk
mode setting that disables the scroll wheel on the mouse.

I have several slides that have animation that can only advance with action
buttons. This works perfect in the original pptx file in Kiosk mode and the
scroll wheel is disabled. In the Vewer, the scroll wheel remains enabled and
just flips right past the animation and then ends up pausing slides prior to
the animation beginning, and basically just sits there with no way for the
user to click next (because its in kiosk mode and nothing is on the slide)
until the wheel is scrolled again. Any ideas or workarounds?

thanks TAJ - I should have been more specific in that I was looking for a
bit more of a programmable solution because this presentation won't be
restricted to one single workstation.

Quite the contrary in fact. It will be distributed via CD to people via mail
or at trade shows for them to view at their own pc's at their own convenience
- which would obviously negate my ability to control the form of mouse they
are using....any OTHER suggestions? Or does this one get in line at B.Gates'
bug lab?

Some fellow MVPs have suggested using the "powerpoint 2003" viewer. As the
mouse wheel behaviour is different.
