Scroll Button not operating.

I have an Acer Aspire 5610Z with Vista O/S. The touch pad operates ok,
but the scroll button does not funtion either in the vertical or
horizontal mode. Also when <Fn> + <F7>
(Touchpad Toggle) the Touchpad does not disable. Can anyone please
help ?

Either the touchpad is damaged or the supporting driver software needs to be
reinstalled.
