scren goes blank intermittantly

i have recently purchased a new pentium d system and upon connecting it up to
my old xerox xa7i monitor every 2 or 3 minutes the screen will go blank for
about 1-2 secs, when it comes back on the same page is displayed there are no
error messages, its just vary frustrating as the screen was fine before with
my old system. the time between blanks varies sometimes its about 30 secs
between blinking other times it can be 5 mins, any ideas please.

You checked Pwr Saving options?
Have another monitor to test on the sys?
