Rick...
Hello,
I just got a used system with xp home edition on it. I put this where i had
my old win 98se system and hooked it to the old monitor and sound system.
After doing some updates to the xp system from the microsoft site, my
screensize view changed... I'm still at my 800 x 600 resolution(max allowed
by my monitor, 31 inch gateway 2000 destination), but it seems that i've
only got 480 x 600 viewable. So it seems that i'm only seeing part of my
screen. I would describe it nearly like the magnify function in win 98, but
not quite as large. As I move the mouse pointer to one side of the screen,
the view will slide. Also, going up on the screen will slide the view, and
going down if at the top it will slide down... There is no slider bar
anywhere, the view just moves...
With this in mind, it did not do this prior to the updates from the
microsoft site; resolution set at 800 x 600 at true color, i saw the whole
800 x 600 on my screen.
Can anyone describe how i can get my whole 800 x 600 field of view back?
I'm new to win xp. I'd prefer to have my whole field of view back and i
don't know hot to get it back...
Thanks in advance for any help,
