Screensaver using My Pictures Slideshow won't work

I am trying to enable my screensaver using My Pictures Slideshow but it won't
work! We have XP Microsoft Office Pro 2007, and I also have a Microsoft
Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 keyboard & mouse... not sure if they are
causing the problem? Would really really appreciate it if anyone can suggest
what I need to do to get it working! Thanks heaps, Bec Pymie
