screensaver resume option disabled

In the settings of the screensaver my checkbox "On resume, display logon
screen" is checked but disabled, so I can't uncheck it.

I don't want to reenter the password after every resume, do you know how can
I do ? (regedit setting, etc.)

Thanks
Sandro

Hi,

Is this your own machine or a work machine? That option being grayed out
suggests there is a policy editor in use preventing changes, something
usually only seen in a domain environment.

Hi Sandro,

In the "Local Group Policy Editor" check here:
1. Open Start Menu
2. In white line (Start Search) area, type "gpedit.msc" (no quotes) and
press Enter.
3. Click Continue for UAC prompt.
4. In the left pane of Group Policy, click on to expand:
A) User Configuration
B) Administrative Templates
C) Control Panel
D) Display
5. In the right pane of "Display", right click on "Password protect the
screen saver"
A) Click Properties
B) Dot "Not Configured"
C) Click OK
6. Close Group Policy window.

Hi Brink,

thx for your help; the setting was just set to Not configured; I tried also
to set to "Disabled", but even after reboot nothing change. The option is
always disabled:

see http://www.rizzetto.com/images/temp/screensaver.jpg

I'm sure there isn't policy at domain level, and I have full control of my
machine (even if I have UAC activated)

Thx
Sandro
