I'm trying to change the time that it takes for my screensaver to activeate,
but it's greyed out at 30 minutes. I have a compaq desktop with Windows XP
(I'll assume the service pack 2).

Any suggestions?

Hi Richard,

This happens if the ScreensaverTimeout is set (Policy setting). Open Regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop

In the right-pane, delete the "ScreenSaveTimeOut" value.
