Screensaver keeps stopping

I leave my pc on overnight and just let the screensaver do its thing.
Recently, for no explicable reason, the screensaver keeps terminating.
I have checked it's not because the mouse is moving, and I have
rebooted a number of times. Everything looks ok on the virus front.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would suddenly start
happening?

Look in Event Viewer for clues.
Start>Run>eventvwr.msc [enter]
