Screen size

I'm using XP on a gateway laptop. Some programs that I
open open bigger than the monitor. If the screen has a
scroll bar I can barely use the scroll bar. Is there a way
to make the screens open smaller or adjusted to my
display?? I've looked in Display settings and online, but
have seen nothing. Thanks for your response.

One suggestion may be to change the resolution of your
screen to something larger than the current settings. To
do this Right-Click on the monitor and choose properties,
then choose settings and adjust the resolutions.
