Screen saver.

DEFENDER01

No matter what i do i just can not get my screen saver to switch on.
after choosing any of the screen savers click preview which works fine
and click apply it just will not change from my desk top back ground.
any help appreciated.

You are aware that "screen saver" is not a background right?
Desktop background is a background, but screen saver is what happens
after 10-15 minutes of no activity. Two different tabs on that 'desktop
properties' you were on.
It was useful in the old days of monochrome monitors and windows 3.0 or
DOS 6 etc but of little value now accept amusement.

You are aware that "screen saver" is not a background right?
Desktop background is a background, but screen saver is what happens
after 10-15 minutes of no activity. Two different tabs on tha
'desktop
properties' you were on.
It was useful in the old days of monochrome monitors and windows 3.0 o

Yes i do know the difference between a desktop background and a scree
saver.
i have now found my Microsoft laser mouse is causing the problem.
after doing a few searches it seems its a common problem Microsoft hav
not mastered how to get there key boards and mouse to work on their ow
program's

where people fit into the range of windows experience. Glad you got

No problem thanks anyway its something worth remembering in future whe
changing a mouse or cordless keyboard.
i should have got a logitech they dont seem to suffer the sam
problems

You can create a shortcut to your screen saver on the desktop or change
to a logitech mouse they do not cause any problems.

Hi Rick yes i got a Logitech mouse today and all is well.just to let
you know interestingly enough the problem only seems to be with
multimedia PCs as the Microsoft laser mouse works fine on my other PC
which is not Multimedia.
