Hello,

I recently switched from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. I
chose a screen saver in the dialog box and it does come on
after the computer is idle for 10 minutes as requested but
then the screen goes blank after a few minutes. I have
tried different screen saver options and the same blank
monitor appears after a few minutes.

Can you tell me what I should be doing to have the screen
saver remain working until I touch the mouse or keyboard,
please. Thank you!!!

Hi LuAnn, may I suggest the following.
Right click on your desktop and go to properties, this will
bring up the display properties, select the Screen Saver
tab, then click on the power button in the 'energy saving
features of monitor', see if the settings in the power
schemes has changed for your monitor and hard drive.
You can set your monitor and hard drive to turn off at
diffrent times when your pc is not in use by anyone .
For your monitor just select turn off monitor 'never'
from the drop down selection.
I hope that this will help.
