Screen saver password on resume

XPP machine. Even when I uncheck the "Require password on resume" box, it
still says the computer is locked and requires a password. I found a
registry entry called "Screensaverissecure" which seems to chabge from a 0 to
1 when I check/uncheck the box but it's like it is ignoring it.

Any ideas ?

Check the settings in both the Display Properties, Screensaver tab, and
in Control Panel | Power Options | Advanced.
