screen saver - on resume, password protect grayed out

I am using a resource account on the network for some of my XP Pro Service
Pack 1 machines. For some reason the screen saver - on resume, password
protect is checked and grayed out so i cannot uncheck this option. I don't
want these users to have to put in a password. Is there a registry key which
I can change or delete which will give me access to this checkbox again?

[HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: ScreenSaverIsSecure

or

[HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: ScreenSaverIsSecure

Delete "ScreenSaverIsSecure" in the right-hand pane.

It sounds like a Group Policy to me. In the run box, type "gpedit.msc"
and hit enter. The tool that comes up edits a lot of settings in a sort
of "secret" way that most users don't know about and can't change
unless they have Administrative access.

What you're looking for is under "User Configuration" in the left-hand
pane of the Group Policy Editor. Click on the "Administrative
Templates" folder at the bottom of the tree, then click on "Control
Panel". The settings for screensavers are in the "Display" folder.
Generally by default all the settings are set to "Not Configured". I'm
guessing that the "Password protect the screensaver" setting is enabled.
