Screen saver query

Hi all

I noticed the other day that my one mate's PC, under the 'Screen Saver' tab
for display properties, has an option for 'On resume, display Welcome
screen'. On my PC (or any WinXP machine I've seen for that matter) it should
say 'On resume, password protect'.

I realise this isn't exactly a problem (as his PC works perfectly
otherwise), but I'm just curious as to what would cause this?

TIA,
Dominic

On resume
[[Specifies whether the logon window is displayed when you resume using
the computer after the screen saver has started running. If logging on
requires a password, you will have to type the password when you resume
work.]]

On resume, display Welcome screen is displayed if...
* The Welcome Screen is enabled
* Fast User Switching is enabled
* There is more than one user

These accounts do *NOT* count as more than one user...

On resume, display Welcome screen will change to On resume, password protect
if not enough users

If not password protected, this shows...
On resume, password protect

Selecting the On Resume, password protect check box will lock your computer
when the screen saver is activated. When you begin working again you will be
prompted to type your password to unlock it.

Hi Wesley

Thanks for the info!

I tried adding another user to my Windows, under User Accounts, and sure
enough (with the Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching enabled), I also get
the 'On resume, display Welcome screen' option showing.

Regards,
Dominic
