Screen saver locks up PC?

User running Windows XP Pro SP2 locked up while running Windows 3D Text
screen saver using the Time option. I couldn't find anything about this
issue on the Microsoft support site. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix
other than changing the screen saver?

Eric, any 3D screensaver could present a problem if you don't have a
adequate Graphic Card to handle it. If this is not
the case you could try a different Graphics Driver.

The problem is somewhere else since I have the 3D Text screen saver set up
on a few PCs. Everything works!

Try uninstalling / updating the video card driver.
